Assam: Guwahati to host first kids' obstacle race ‘Junior Circuit’ on March 29
Guwahati: Guwahati is set to host its first-ever junior obstacle race, ‘Junior Circuit’, on March 29 at the Arya College Playground.
The event, organised by Culture Club - preschool and powered by House of Play, is designed for children aged 3 to 15 years and their parents.
Unlike conventional races, Junior Circuit will be non-competitive, with no rankings or timers. The focus will be on participation and completing the course.
The obstacle course, measuring around 900 to 1,000 metres, will feature 15 challenges, including crawling tunnels, balance beams, and cargo nets. Parents will participate alongside their children, turning it into a shared physical experience.
Nikhil Mozika, Founder of Culture Club - preschool, said, “We believe children learn best through real-life experiences. Junior Circuit is designed to help them build confidence, develop resilience, and enjoy the process of overcoming challenges with their parents.”
Founded by Silky and Nikhil Mozika, Culture Club - preschool works towards promoting holistic development in children by encouraging experiential learning opportunities.
The organisers said the event aims to address concerns around sedentary lifestyles by encouraging outdoor play in a structured and enjoyable format.
They added that every child completing the course will be recognised, reinforcing the idea that participation and effort are more important than winning a competition.
