Assam: Guwahati student found dead near railway track in Lakhimpur

GUWAHATI: Body of a student hailing from Guwahati was discovered under mysterious circumstances in Assam's Lakhimpur district on Saturday.

The body was found adjacent to a railway track in Lakhimpur's Lilabari locality.

The deceased has been identified as Joy Gogoi, a resident of Chandmari in Guwahati, Assam.

Sources suggest that it is suspected he may have perished due to a collision with a train.

Joy, a final year Higher Secondary (HS) student in the Science stream, attended classes at Lakhimpur's Genius Academy.

He had been missing for the past two days prior to the discovery of his body.
