LGBIA set a single-day record by managing 22,089 passengers on October 5, highlighting the effectiveness of its upgraded infrastructure in handling increasing traffic.

LGBIA also expanded its international network with direct flights to Paro, Bangkok, and Singapore, contributing to higher international passenger numbers.

The airport recorded 47,550 domestic Aircraft Traffic Movements (ATMs) and 1,000 international ATMs during the year.

Cargo operations at the airport saw notable growth, with a total of 32,990 metric tons handled in 2025.

December marked a record for the cargo terminal, which handled 374 MT of perishable goods, 1,362 MT of total cargo, and achieved its highest-ever single-day cargo volume of 60 MT on December 22.

The increase in both passenger and cargo traffic underscores LGBIA’s role as a key gateway to the Northeast region, providing improved connectivity and services to travelers and businesses alike.

The airport continues to focus on delivering efficient operations and a high-quality travel experience for all passengers.
