Assam: Garima Garg hospitalized in Guwahati, condition stable
Guwahati: Garima Garg, wife of the late Assamese singer Zubeen Garg, was admitted to Health City Hospital in Guwahati on Wednesday after experiencing weakness and dehydration, reportedly due to anxiety-related complications.
She was brought to the hospital around 10 p.m. and is under the care of Brajen Lahkar from the Medicine Department.
Hospital sources said her condition is currently stable, but she requires adequate rest. “Her condition is improving, but it is too early to determine when she will be discharged,” a spokesperson said.
Doctors have conducted blood tests, an ultrasound, an ECG, and other examinations, and her discharge will be decided after reviewing the reports.
The hospital also noted that mental stress may have contributed to her illness. She has no dietary restrictions and is advised to maintain proper nutrition for recovery.
Since the passing of Zubeen Garg, Garima has experienced frequent health issues and has occasionally required medical observation.
