Assam: Forest official killed, another injured in buffalo attack in Kaziranga

KAZIRANGA: In a distressing event reported from the Kaziranga National Park in Assam, a forest official lost his life and another sustained injuries in a surprising attack by wild buffaloes.

The incident took place during routine patrolling in the forest area near the elephant camp, stunning the local forestry community.

The victim has been identified as Apu Momin, a wildlife conservationist and part of the forest staff confronted by the unexpected aggression of the wild buffaloes.

Despite their efforts to defend themselves, Momin succumbed to the relentless onslaught.

Additionally, another forester, Sonamani Rabha, was caught in the unexpected attack and suffered injuries.

Rabha was swiftly evacuated to the Koliabor sub-divisional civil hospital in Assam for urgent medical treatment.

Authorities are conducting an investigation to determine the circumstances surrounding the unusual aggression of the buffaloes, aiming to comprehend the factors contributing to this tragic incident.
