Assam: Forest guard killed by Royal Bengal Tiger in Orang
Guwahati: A forest guard was allegedly killed after being attacked by a Royal Bengal Tiger in Orang National Park in Assam on Wednesday.
According to reports, the guard was on duty when the incident took place.
The deceased forest official was identified as Dhanmoni Deka.

He was part of a team that was on foot patrolling within the forest areas of the park.
However, the patrol turned into a horror scene after a tiger leapt towards the team and dragged Dhanmoni inside the dense forest.
Forest officials said that the incident took place on Wednesday evening.

A search operation was launched right after the incident.
Deka's mutilated body was recovered late last night near the Kheroni Camp, approximately three kilometres from the attack site.
The deceased was a resident of the Hatimara area in Darrang.
An investigation has been initiated in connection with the incident.
