Guwahati: An elephant calf was reportedly found dead in Sonitpur, Assam on Thursday.

A report stated that the calf was dead in a drain at a tea estate located under Rangapara Police Station in Assam’s Sonitpur district.

The calf is suspected to have been separated from its herd when it fell into the drain.
