Guwahati: The opposition Congress is intensifying its outreach to grassroots communities across Assam ahead of the 2026 assembly elections.

APCC president Gaurav Gogoi and senior party leaders will attend the launch, which will be conducted simultaneously on the ground and through digital platforms.

Campaign responsibilities will be managed by Bhupen Bora, with coordination by Debrabrata Saikia.

The campaign aims to gather public aspirations through specially created ‘Aspiration Boxes’, targeting diverse groups including tea garden workers, farmers, women’s collectives, self-help groups, students, and rural communities.

The party plans to use the feedback collected to shape its election strategy and future policy proposals.

Congress leaders explained that the initiative seeks to address the concerns and aspirations of all communities across Assam, from Sadiya to Dhubri and from Barak to the Brahmaputra region.

They emphasized the party’s focus on promoting governance free from corruption and fear while preparing a forward-looking manifesto that reflects the needs of the people.

The Congress intends to take the campaign to all organizational levels, booth, mandal, and district.

Over 3,000 Aspiration Boxes will be placed in public spaces such as marketplaces, community halls, bus stops, playgrounds, tea garden labour lines, and outside schools and colleges.

The rollout will cover all 35 districts in phases to ensure broad participation.
