Guwahati: On Saturday morning, a minor girl was reportedly killed after being run over by a "speeding" truck in Udalguri, Assam.

The incident occurred on Saturday morning, claiming the life of a young student.

Mira Rajbhor, a Class 2 student of Asboford Academy, was fatally struck by a speeding dumper truck while on her way to school.

The accident took place on the Rowta-Nalbari road in Udalguri.

Following the incident, protesters took to the streets, demanding justice for the deceased girl.

The police have initiated an investigation in connection with the incident.

It may be mentioned that most of the trucks plying on public roads are often not monitored by the police.

While trucks do have proper documentation, they are still driven dangerously and irresponsibly.
