Assam: Bus collision claims one life, injures 15
Guwahati: At least 15 people were injured while one person died in a bus accident in Bongaigaon, Assam on Saturday.
According to reports, the devastating road accident occurred on National Highway 17 at Singimari in Bongaigaon district.
The accident resulted in the loss of one life and left 15 individuals critically injured.
An alleged speeding passenger bus, travelling from Bongaigaon to Goalpara, collided with a stationary freight truck parked on the road.
Eyewitnesses reported that the bus crashed into the truck, causing severe damage.
Quick response from Bongaigaon traffic police and local residents ensured prompt medical attention for the injured, who were rushed to the hospital for emergency treatment.
Traffic police officials are currently investigating the incident to determine the cause of the accident and prevent such tragedies in the future.
