Assam: Brother of NCHAC EM allegedly abducted
GUWAHATI: An unsettling incident has been reported from Haflong in Dima Hasao district of Assam, with a viral photo circulating on social media alleging the abduction of Prasanjit Naiding, the younger brother of Monjit Naiding, an executive member (EM) of the North Cachar Hills Autonomous Council (NCHAC).
The abduction was reportedly carried out by a group claiming to be the United Dimasa Liberation Army (UDLA).
According to reports, Prasanjit Naiding was taken from his home at Thaijuwari area in Haflong.
The dissemination of the photo by the purported kidnappers has sparked widespread concern and condemnation on various social media platforms.
In response to this distressing development, an FIR has been registered at the Haflong police station in Assam against the UDLA group.
