Assam: Biker killed in Goalpara as bus runs over him

Guwahati: A motorcyclist was killed after being run over by a bus in Goalpara, Assam on Saturday.

As per reports, the motorcyclist, identified as Kirip Das was a resident of Dhupdhara in Goalpara.

He was killed on NH-17 near Sakhati in Goalpara district after a bus allegedly rammed into his bike and tried to flee the scene.

The bus bearing registration registration number AS17C0939, collided with Das's bike (AS 07 H 6613) while reportedly being driven rashly.

According to police reports, the bus driver attempted to escape following the accident.

However, the bus was apprehended by the police, and both the driver and helper have been taken into custody.

An investigation into the accident is underway.
