Assam: Biker coming from wrong way killed after colliding with bus in Sivasagar

Guwahati: A man was killed in an accident after being run over by a bus in Sivasager, Assam on Wednesday.

As per reports, the incident took place near Jhanji in Amguri, Sivasagar.

Locals told the media on the spot that the bus was on its routine and was being driven properly.

However, the biker allegedly was coming from the wrong side of the road and the bus driver attempting to save the biker drove the bus into a ditch.

Despite the attempt, the biker came under the bus before sliding on the road for several feet.

He died on the spot before any medical attention could arrive.

The deceased was identified as Bastab Gogoi.

The bus, on the other hand, did not receive much damage and the 40 passengers on board were too safe.

The police have begun an investigation and also recovered the motorcycle involved in the accident.
