Assam: Advocate arrested for allegedly forging signature in Bajali

Guwahati: An advocate was arrested in Bajali, Assam for allegedly forging the signature of an Additional Commissioner.

The advocate who practices at a court Bajali district has been accused of forging the signature on an affidavit.

The accused was identified as Pritam Dev Chowdhury.

He allegedly forged the signature of Bajali's Additional Commissioner, Pranjal Konwar.

Gaurav Shekhar Das, a magistrate of the Bajali district administration after finding out about the incident, filed a First Information Report (FIR) against Chowdhury.

The police have begun an investigation into the matter and Chowdhury has been arrested.
