Assam: 12-year-old boy kidnapped last week, found dead in Arunachal

Dibrugarh: A 12-year-old boy who was reportedly kidnapped from Sadiya in Assam has been found dead in Arunachal Pradesh.

Rohit Bahadur Chetry was abducted on July 22 while returning from school.

A ransom of Rs 25 lakh was demanded by the kidnappers.

Two suspects, Najuso Tamai and Gobin Tamang, with a history of criminal offences, were arrested in connection with the case.

They confessed to the crime and revealed the location of the boy's body.

The incident has sparked outrage, with the Gorkha Students' Union demanding capital punishment for the accused.

An investigation is being carried out in connection with the incident.
