Assam: Youtubers Chakrapani Parashar, Aboyob Bhuyan summoned by CID in trading scam investigation
Guwahati: The CID has reportedly summoned Youtubers Chakrapani Parashar, Aboyob Bhuyan and Himashree Saikia to Dibrugarh, Assam in connection with an alleged multi-crore trading scam investigation.
The trio has been ordered to appear before the CID in Dibrugarh as a part of the investigation.
The high-profile online trading scam involving Sumi Borah, Bishal Phukan, and Tarkik Borah is currently being investigated by the CID.
All the accused are currently in Dibrugarh.

Chakrapani Parashar, a former journalist turned popular YouTuber, has already arrived in Dibrugarh for interrogation, scheduled for 4 PM at Dibrugarh Sadar Police Station, reports stated.

Aboyob Bhuyan, another summoned YouTuber, informed his followers about the summons via Facebook, stating that his statement regards a podcast with Sumi Borah from last year.
The scam, under Dibrugarh PS Case No. 352/2024, includes charges under multiple sections, such as Section 316(2)/318(4) of the BNS 2023 and the Banning of Unregulated Deposit Scheme Act, 2019.
