Assam: Youth strangled to death in Tezpur

Guwahati: On Wednesday, a youth in Tezpur, Assam was reportedly strangulated to death by unidentified persons.

The deceased was identified as Bishram Birla, 21, who was found by locals in the Khalihamari area in Sonitpur's Tezpur.

The incident took place in Debendra Nagar.

The deceased had strangulation marks around his neck which indicated that he was murdered.

The police have initiated an investigation into the issue.

However, the motive behind the murder is not yet known.
