Assam: Woman found dead at home in Guwahati, boyfriend detained

Guwahati: A woman was found dead in her house in Guwahati, Assam on Saturday.

As per reports, the woman was found dead hanging inside the bathroom of her apartment in Guwahati's Sixmile.

It has been further reported that the incident was seen as a suicide but her "boyfriend" has been made a part of the suspects behind the unnatural death.

The deceased was identified as Darshana Das and was studying at an institute in Bengaluru.

Her boyfriend has been detained for questioning.

Earlier on Saturday, another dead body was recovered in Barpeta, Assam.

The deceased identified as Maminul Haque was found in Barpeta's Alopati.

He was reportedly missing since March 13 and was found inside the toilet of his neighbour Abdul Kuddus.

Kuddus has been accused of murdering Haque by the family.

The police have begun an investigation into the matter.
