Assam: Weapons seized, four apprehended in Sonitpur

Guwahati: A police team apprehended four individuals and seized illegal firearms during a search operation conducted from the Kuttamari Char area in Sonitpur, Assam on Sunday.

Acting on credible intelligence, a team comprising Assam Police and CRPF conducted the raid on Sunday.

The search yielded the recovery of an auto pistol, a magazine, and five live .22 calibre rounds from a house.

Following the seizure, the police apprehended four persons.

The accused were identified as Azizul Hoque, Abadul Hoque, Ashikur Hoque, and Mokshidul Hoque.

Investigations into the incident are ongoing.
