Assam: Unidentified body found in ditch on NH in Mirza

Guwahati: An unidentified man's body was found floating in a ditch on National Highway 17 near Borkuchi village of Mirza in Kamrup, Assam.

Police said that initial investigation found that the deceased might be from Dhubri.

He had travelled to Borkuchi for work but his identity remains unconfirmed.

The cause of death is yet to be determined.

The discovery of the body caused temporary disruption on the National Highway.

The police retrieved the body and sent it for autopsy.
