Assam: Two policemen killed after bike collides with truck in Karimganj

Guwahati: Two policemen were reportedly killed in an accident near the Patharkandi Bypass Road in Karimganj, Assam on Thursday night.

According to reports, both the men were personnel of an Assam Police battalion and were stationed in Karimganj.

They were travelling on a motorcycle and somehow lost control of it before colliding with a parked truck.

It was claimed that the truck was not visible and had no illumination or even radium strips. However, the allegations are still under investigation.

The deceased were identified as Rahul Dev Burman and Budhan Barman.

They were heading to Karimganj town when they met with the accident.

Some locals blamed the trucks for being unauthorisedly parked on the road with bare minimum safety regulations.
