Assam: Two nabbed with drugs in Kamrup

Guwahati: A joint team of the Assam Special Task Force (STF) and Palasbari Police seized a bag containing 23 soap cases filled with suspected contraband drugs in Kamrup district on Sunday night.

Acting on specific intelligence, the team intercepted a car near the Palasbari Police Station and conducted a thorough search.

Hidden inside the vehicle, they discovered a bag packed with suspected narcotics.

The items were immediately seized and were estimated to be worth several lakhs in the black market.

Two individuals, identified as Safijuddin Ali and Zakir Hussain, were apprehended in connection with the seizure.

Officials initiated further legal proceedings against the detained individuals.
