Assam: Truck transporting cattle illegally seized, three held in Guwahati
Guwahati: On Wednesday, a police team seized a truck loaded with at least 10 cattleheads near Jorabat in Guwahati, Assam.
As per reports, the cattle-laden truck was seized during a routine checking near the Assam-Meghalaya border in Jorabat.
The truck bearing registration number AS-21C-9386 carrying 10 live cattle was caught with three people.

Police said that the cattle were being transported illegally, as the vehicle lacked proper documentation.

Consequently, the police seized the vehicle and the cattle. Additionally, the driver, Saddam Hussain (23), and two associates, Jiyaul Haque (22) and Inus Ali (26), were apprehended and brought to the Jorabat police outpost.
An investigation has been initiated.
