Assam: Sarbananda Sonowal embarks on campaign trail, urges support for BJP

DIBRUGARH: Sarbananda Sonowal, union minister of ports, shipping and waterways, and Ayush, embarked on a election campaign tour across Tinsukia, Margherita and Digboi, addressing four public meetings throughout the day.

The gatherings witnessed enthusiastic participation from BJP and AGP party workers in Assam as Sarbananda Sonowal rallied support for the continued governance of the Modi government.

Addressing the gatherings, Sarbananda Sonowal, BJP's Lok Sabha candidate for Dibrugarh in Assam, emphasized, “Akow Ebar, Modi Sarkar (Once again Modi government) is our pledge. To fulfil this promise, it is imperative to elect and send maximum MPs from Assam.”

Sonowal hailed Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visionary leadership, highlighting the nation's elevated stature on the global stage and the tangible improvements in the quality of life and development across Assam and India.

Expressing gratitude to party workers in Tinsukia, Margherita and Digboi, Sonowal called for support in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.

He emphasized the importance of endorsing Narendra Modi's “positive and developmental politics”, aiming to realize the vision of Viksti Bharat and continue the momentum of building a new India.

Sonowal emphasized the transformative impact of Modi's leadership, citing significant strides in poverty alleviation and the enhancement of social status and economic development.

He underscored the pivotal role Assam plays in this journey, urging constituents to contribute actively to the state's progress.

Furthermore, Sonowal underscored the historic significance of the Dibrugarh Lok Sabha constituency in Assam and urged collective efforts to restore its status as an economic focal point.

In a separate interaction with Asom Gana Parishad (AGP) members in Tinsukia assembly constituency in Assam, Sonowal anticipated the active involvement of AGP in securing a resounding victory for the NDA in the upcoming elections.

Accompanied by MLA Sanjay Kishan, MLA Bhaskar Sharma, MLA Suren Phukan, and other party officials and workers, Sarbananda Sonowal's campaign trail underscored the alliance's commitment to securing a decisive victory and advancing the agenda of progress and development under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership.
