Guwahati: Unidentified men allegedly looted Rs 45 lakh from a man queuing to deposit the money at a bank in Nagaon, Assam on Thursday.

As per reports, the victim has been identified as Yunis Ali, an employee of Aditya Agro Foods Private Limited.

The incident occurred as Ali was on his way to deposit the money belonging to the company at the Punjab National Bank located in Marwaripatty, Nagaon.

According to reports, Ali was carrying the cash when the robbers accosted him.

While details regarding how the robbers obtained information about the large cash sum remain unclear, they managed to overpower Ali and snatch the money bag while he waited in line in the bank.
