Assam Rifles nab ULFA-I linkmen in Arunachal Pradesh

GUWAHATI: The Assam Rifles reportedly detained three individuals suspected to be affiliated with the United Liberation Front of Asom-Independent (ULFA-I) on Saturday (May 04).

Preliminary reports suggest that these individuals were allegedly involved in clandestinely financing the banned insurgent group.

Assam Rifles apprehended the suspects at Kanubari in Arunachal Pradesh and subsequently handed them over to the police at Sonari in Assam for further investigation.

The detainees have been identified as Sanjay Dey and his son Sujit Dey, residents of Teokghat Aideobari Bagisa Gaon in Sonari, along with Tajabang Konyak from Nokjaan Basti in Nagaland.

Currently under police custody, the apprehended individuals are undergoing interrogation.
