Sources said Ditumoni came home without informing his wife in Kahilipara.

According to family members, after reaching home Ditumoni found his wife with another man and both were caught red-handed.

The wife and the lover were not expecting such an untoward situation and a furious fight started between the trio.

During this fight, it was learnt that the woman and the lover allegedly strangulated Ditumoni to death and then took him to the Guwahati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH).

After the incident, police arrested the woman but the lover remains absconding and the police are on his lookout.

As per the report, the man who is involved in the love affair with Hiramoni is identified as Arup Das, a resident of the same area in Tihu, Nalbari district.

The local police had to rush to the spot to control the situation.

The mother of the deceased son told the media, “The woman killed my son for this alleged affair. I want severe punishment for both Arup and Hiramoni.”

“We all knew the truth. I didn’t share this with my son as I didn’t want to ruin his family life as they have two children. Earlier also she had a relationship with another boy,” the mother claimed.

As per reports, the deceased was a Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) Jawan posted at 175 Battalion in Manipur.
