GUWAHATI: The Orang National Park and Tiger Reserve in Assam will remain closed for visitors and tourists for the current tourism season, effective May 15.

Authorities of the Orang National Park and Tiger Reserve in Assam released a statement confirming the suspension of Jeep and elephant safaris during this period.

The park closes its gates for tourists and visitors every year before the onset of the monsoon season.

The closure aims to ensure the safety of both visitors and wildlife, as heavy rains and potential flooding pose risks during this time of the year.
