Assam: One held for molesting minor in Cachar
Guwahati: Amidst the Durga Puja celebrations across the state, a minor was allegedly molested in Cachar, Assam on Saturday morning.
The 14-year-old minor was allegedly molested by a person identified as Raja Das.
The accused is a resident of the Madhura area in Cachar's Udarbond.
The accused initially fled the scene but was later caught by locals and handed over to the police.

The incident reportedly occurred at a tea garden forest area.
The police have taken custody of Raja Das and are investigating the matter further.
Locals said that the accused forcefully took the minor to the forest area and molested her.

They were alerted by other children about the incident.
However, as they went to the location, the accused fled and after hours of search, Das was apprehended.
