Assam: One arrested in Jorhat for assaulting police constable
Guwahati: A man has been arrested in Jorhat, Assam for allegedly assaulting an on-duty constable on Saturday.
The constable, identified as Afzal Hussain claimed that the accused attacked him for no reason.
The accused named Rontu Bora was arrested following the incident.

According to the police constable posted at Pulibor Police Station, he had gone to the house of a person named Pabitra Bora to deliver a court notice/summons.
However, it was during this when the accused attacked him.

The incident was reported from the Maloukhata area near Saraibahi village.
The accused has been taken into custody and an investigation has been initiated.
Some locals claimed that the assault took place after a heated argument but none knew what exactly led to the assault.
