Assam: Massive fire destroys 46 homes in Karbi Anglong

Guwahati: A major fire ripped through Borlengri-Block 1 in Assam's Karbi Anglong district bordering Nagaland on Sunday, reducing 46 thatch houses to ashes.

The West Fire Station in Dimapur received a distress call in the afternoon and immediately dispatched two fire tenders from both the West and Central stations along with firefighters.

While they managed to extinguish the blaze by 3 pm, the fire unfortunately caused extensive damage, leaving several homes completely destroyed.

Fortunately, no casualties were reported in the incident. 

The cause of the fire remains unknown, and police along with firefighters are still evaluating the extent of property damage.
