Assam: Major fire erupts at Bijulee Bhawan in Guwahati

Guwahati:  A major fire erupted in the Bijulee Bhawan in Paltan Bazaar locality in Guwahati on Friday evening and this created a lot of panic among the residents and the people in the locality.

According to reports, the fire erupted at around 4 pm on Friday and it is suspected that an electrical fault has triggered the fire in the building.

The people present in the building were safely evacuated and seven to eight fire tenders were rushed to the spot to defuse the fire.

According to the Paltan Bazaar police, no causality or injury has been reported till now.
