Assam: Lat Mandal held for accepting bribe in Bongaigaon

Guwahati: In another case of corruption, the Vigilance and Anti-Corruption wing of Assam police nabbed a Lat Mandal on Tuesday on charges of accepting bribe in Bongaigaon district of Assam.

The arrested Lat Mandal has been identified as Gendu Mohan Nath and he is posted as the officer of the Circle Officer, Baitamari Revenue Circle under Bongaigaon district.

According to the Directorate of Vigilance & Anti-Corruption, Assam, Nath was caught red-handed after he accepted the bribe amount in the office from the complainant for the correction of land records.

Further investigation into the case is ongoing.
