Assam: Krishnamoni Nath's petrol pump robbed in Nagaon

Nagaon: A petrol pump owned by renowned singer Krishnamoni Nath was robbed in Nagaon, Assam on Monday.

The manager of the pump, Biswajit Deka, was targeted while he was on his way to deposit Rs 4.12 lakh belonging to the pump.

Police sources said that according to Deka, four armed men on two motorcycles intercepted him in the Barapujia area of Nagaon.

The men, who were wearing helmets but no masks, threatened the manager and fled with the cash.

The motorcycles used in the reportedly did not have number plates.

Police have initiated an investigation into the matter.
