Assam: Heroin worth Rs 1.22 crore seized in Silchar
Guwahati: The police in Silchar, Assam have seized a huge quantity of suspected heroin worth Rs 1.22 crore.
As per reports, the two suspects were nabbed by the police during the operation.
A source said that the police had inputs about the possible movement of some possible drug dealers.
Based on the input, the police launched an operation and came across the suspects in a car.

On checking the car, the police found around 175 grams of suspected heroin from the accused.
The heroin was concealed in 15 soap cases and was estimated to be worth Rs 1.22 crore in the international market.
The suspects were immediately arrested.

The two were identified as Azad Majumdar and Rahul Amin Majumdar.
The police have begun an investigation into the seizure to trace the source and destination of the suspected drugs.
