Assam: Four killed in road accident in Silapathar

Guwahati: An accident in Assam's Silapathar district claimed the lives of four individuals, including a brother and sister, on Thursday morning.

The incident occurred at approximately 4:30 am in Silasuti when a speeding car struck pedestrians Aza Sukrang (19) and Tileswar Sukrang (22) from behind. Both siblings were tragically killed on the spot.

The driver further collided with a motorcycle (AS-06-AA-8394), instantly killing the biker.

The pillion rider succumbed to injuries while being transported to the hospital.

Police promptly arrived at the scene and recovered the bodies.

An investigation is currently underway to determine the cause of the accident and hold the driver accountable.
