Applications are invited for recruitment of various technical positions or jobs in NIT Agartala Tripura in 2026.

National Institute of Technology (NIT) Agartala Tripura is inviting applications from eligible candidates for recruitment to the posts or jobs of Research position under the sponsored research project entitled "Establishment of Testing Facility for Testing of Agarwood Oil & Hydrosol" in 2026.

Name of post : Research Personnel

Essential Qualification :

First Class - Master Degree -

M.Tech in Chemical Technology/Chemical Engineering/Biotechnology or Industrial Biotechnology/Environmental Engineering

OR

M.Sc in Chemical Sciences/Analytical Chemistry/Organic Chemistry/Biochemistry

OR

Master degree in discipline relevant to the project area

Experience :

Proven work experience in handling and operating Liquid and Gas Chromatograph with Mass Spectrometry and proficiency in interpreting and analyzing chromatograms

Job Roles :

Key responsibilities include operation and maintenance of the equipment, conducting literature searches, method development, protocol designing, performing laboratory experiments, analyzing samples, and applying chemical reactions, and other responsibilities related to smooth execution of the project.

Monthly Emoluments :

Candidates fulfilling the minimum qualification having desired experience may get Research Fellow (Junior/Senior) position with Monthly Emolument (consolidated): INR 31,000/- Year 1&2 and INR 35,000/- - Year 3 onwards, if applicable (Candidate with GATE qualification may receive higher emoluments as per DST Office Memorandum dated 26 June 2023, subject to approval of funding agency)

Candidates fulfilling the minimum qualification but lacking desired experience may get Project Assistant position with Monthly Emolument (consolidated): INR 18,000/- Year
1&2 and INR 21,000/- - Year 3 onwards, if applicable

Applicants with having higher than the minimum qualification (such as Ph.D) and having desired experience may get Research Associate position with Monthly Emolument
(consolidated): INR 45,000/- Year 1&2 and INR 50,000/- - Year 3 onwards, if applicable
