National Institute of Technology (NIT) Sikkim is inviting applications from eligible candidates for recruitment to the posts or jobs of ONE Project Research Scientist (PRS) on a purely time-bound research project in 2026.
Name of post : Project Research Scientist (PRS)
No. of posts : 1
Fellowship : Rs. 56,000/- per month + 10% HRA (if accommodation not possible from the Institute)
Essential Qualification :
B.E./B.Tech. and M.E./M.Tech. (or Integrated M.Tech.) in Computer Sc. & Engg. / Information Technology or equivalent from an Institute of National Importance / AICTEapproved University/Institution with minimum 65% marks or 7.0 CGPA (out of 10) in
M.E./M.Tech.
OR
B.E./B.Tech. from an Institute of National Importance with minimum 85% marks or 9.0
CGPA (out of 10).
For SC/ST/PwD candidates, a relaxation of 5% marks or 0.5 CGPA will be considered.
Desirable: GATE/NET qualification, proficiency in computer programming.
Age Limit : 35 years (Relaxation as per the Govt. of India norms)
