Botanical Survey of India Sikkim is inviting applications from eligible candidates for recruitment to the posts or jobs of project staff for the National Mission on Himalayan Studies (NMHS, MoEF&CC, GOI) funded project “Assessment of Floristic Diversity in the Alpine High Altitude Wetland Complexes of Sikkim” in 2026.

Essential Qualification :
a. Ph.D in Plant Taxonomy
b. 5 years exp. working with flora in Sikkim Alpine region (Identification & documentation) evidence with publications.
c. At least 3 publications in SCI journals
Desirable Qualification : 10 years’ field experience working with Flora of Sikkim Himalaya evidence with publications.
Emoluments : Rs. 67000/- + 10% HRA
Upper age limit : 45 years

Essential Qualification : M.Sc. Botany: Plant Taxonomy/ Ecology
Desirable Qualification : Experience in field data collection on Plant Taxonomy/ Ecology

Essential Qualification : B.Sc. in Botany/ Life Sciences
Desirable Qualification : Experience in Field Work in Sikkim Himalaya. Knowledge of plant collection, herbarium preparation & data compilation

Upper age limit : 50 years
