University of Science & Technology (USTM) Ri Bhoi Meghalaya is inviting applications from eligible candidates for recruitment to the posts or jobs of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in the project entitled “Development of an ultrasensitive optical CRISPR-Cas12a based point of care kit for the detection of Japanese encephalitis” at the Advanced Research Centre in 2026.

Pay : Rs. 37,000/- + HRA per month (as per DHR norms)
Essential Qualification:
First Class M.Sc./M.Tech in Biotechnology/Life Sciences/Microbiology or other relevant disciplines.
Age Limit: Below 35 years (relaxation as per Government norms).
Desirables:
1. UGC/CSIR NET, GATE-qualified candidate, or PhD candidate will be preferred.
2. 1-2 years of hands-on experience in Biosensor Development, CRISPR-Cas assays, and Molecular biology techniques
