North-Eastern Hill University (NEHU) Shillong Meghalaya is inviting applications from eligible candidates for recruitment to the posts or jobs of Project Research Scientist [Non-Medical (NM)]- I for the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) sponsored joint collaborative research project entitled “Transforming Non-Surgical Treatment of Robin Sequence Infants with a Patient-Specific Pre-Epiglottic Baton Plate” in 2026.

Essential Qualifications :
First-class Master’s degree (M.Sc., M.E., MTech or equivalent) in mechanical, nanotechnology or biomedical engineering from a recognized University or Institute and/or PhD with experience in computer-aided designing (CAD/CAM) and additive manufacturing (AM) in general with knowledge of biomedical devices designing and rapid prototyping
OR
For Engineering, a 4-year Bachelor’s degree in the relevant field of engineering or technology with 75% and above with sufficient experience in computer-aided designing (CAD) and additive manufacturing in general with knowledge of biomedical devices designing and rapid prototyping.
Desirable:
Knowledge of prior experience in the chosen field with technical know-how of design
and developing 3D printed dental/ medical casts.
Upper Age Limit:
Maximum age limit is 35 years or relaxation for reserved categories as per ICMR norms.
Monthly Emoluments:
Consolidated pay of Rs. 56,000/- per month plus applicable House Rent Allowance (HRA) (20%) as per norms
