Applications are invited for recruitment of various project based positions or jobs in NEHU Shillong Meghalaya in 2026.

North Eastern Hill University (NEHU) Shillong Meghalaya is inviting applications from eligible candidates for recruitment to the posts or jobs of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) and Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS) under the Department of Health Research (DHR), Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India funded research project entitled “Advancing Lumbar Spine Disorder Diagnosis with Deep Learning-Based Medical Image Analysis." The duration of the project will be for a period of 3 years.

Name of post : Junior Research Fellow (JRF)

No. of posts : 1

Qualification :

M.E./M.Tech. in BME/IT/CSE/ECE or MCA or M.Sc. in Computer Science/Electronics by a
process described through any one of the following:

1. Scholars who are selected through National Eligibility Tests - CSIR-UGC NET and GATE.

2. The selection process through National level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their Agencies and Institutions such as DST, DBT, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MoE, ICAR, ICMR, IIT, IISc, IISER, NISER etc

Remuneration : Rs. 37,000/- per month HRA (as per funding agency norms)

Name of post : Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS)

No. of posts : 1

Qualification : Graduate/ Diploma in any stream.

Remuneration : Rs. 18,000/- per month
