Applications are invited for recruitment of various designer positions or jobs in NIFT Shillong Meghalaya in 2026.

National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) Shillong Meghalaya is inviting applications from eligible candidates for recruitment to the posts or jobs of packaging designers under the project "Packaging of Handloom and Handicraft Items for Gifting" in 2026.

Name of post : Packaging Designer

Educational Qualification: NIFT/NID Graduate, preferably Master’s degree, previous work
experience in packaging design

Experience: Minimum 10 years in design projects and prototype development

Preferred Skills: Experience in packaging and allied activities; strong communication skills for working with artisans

Age: 35-50 years as on 06.02.2026 (may be relaxed for exceptional candidates)

Remuneration :

Remuneration will be as per project terms and include:

One-time travel expenses (to and from Shillong)

Designer charges based on experience categories as per NIFT Guest Faculty policy

Time frame will be as per the project timeline and as per the need of engagement
