Legislative Department Assam is inviting applications from eligible candidates for recruitment to the govt job of Law Assistant in 2025. The Legislative Department is a distinct and independent Department of the Government of Assam. The erstwhile Law Department saw bifurcation into Judicial and Legislative Department under Appointment (B) Departments Notification No.ABM.23/67/60, dated 18/05/76. It is in Assam Secretariat, Block-E, second floor, Dispur, Guwahati-6. The business transactions of the Legislative Department happens under the Commissioner & Secretary/ Secretary of the department with assistance from one Joint Secretary, two Deputy Secretaries one Under Secretary and other Supporting Staff who gets appointment under the Secretariat Administration (Estt.) Department.

Qualification & Experience :

The candidate should possess a Degree of Law (LLB) and shall have atleast 5(five) years experience of conducting cases in various Courts.
