Applications are invited for recruitment of academic govt job in Gauhati University Assam in 2025.

Gauhati University Assam is inviting applications from eligible candidates for recruitment to the govt job of Junior Research Fellow/Project Associate for an Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) Regional Academic Centre for Space at Gauhati University (ISRO) RAC@GU funded project titled "Use of Geospatial and Machine Learning Technology for Early warning of Late and Early
Blight of Potato in Assam with Special Reference to Dhubri, Barpeta ,Darrang, Kamrup and Biswanath Districts of Assam" in 2025.

Name of post : Junior Research Fellow (JRF)

No. of posts : 1

Eligibility Criteria : M.E. / M.Tech or equivalent post graduate degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) with First Class with an aggregate minimum of 60% or CGPA/CPI grading of 6.5 on a 10 point scale. The candidates who get selection through National Eligibility Test - CSIR -NET including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) or GATE or Selected through National level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their agencies and institutions such as DST, DBT, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MoE, ICA& ICMR, IIT, IISC, IISER, NISER etc. are only eligible to apply.

Age Limit : Candidates should be below 28 years of age at the time of application, but relaxable
by 5 years in case of SC / ST and 3 years in case of OBC candidates.

Fellowship : Rs. 37,000/- per month + HRA

Eligibility Criteria : M.E. / M.Tech or equivalent post graduate degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) with First Class with an aggregate minimum of 60% or CGPA/CPI grading of 6.5 on a 10 point scale.

Age Limit : Candidates should be below 28 years of age at the time of application, but relaxable
by 5 years in case of SC / ST and 3 years in case of OBC candidates.

Fellowship : Rs. 31,000/- per month + HRA

Selection Procedure :

The qualification prescribed against the position is the minimum requirement and possession of the same does not automatically makes the candidates eligible to be called Interview. There will be an initial screening based on the academic performance and also other parameters and only those who screening-in will get call for interview. Shortlisted candidates will get call letters for Interview by e-mail. The announcement of result of the interview will happen in the GU website subsequently.
