Tocklai Tea Research Institute Assam is inviting applications from eligible candidates for recruitment to the post or career of Research Officer under the Department of Agriculture & Farmer’s Welfare, Ministry of Agriculture & Farmer’s Welfare, Government of India funded
project on Monitoring of Pesticide Residues at National Level (MPRNL) at Analytical Services Department

Essential Qualification:

Ph.D. or also M.Sc. in Chemistry/Chemical Sciences/Agricultural Chemicals/ Agriculture Chemistry/Plant Protection/Entomology.

Desirable Qualifications and Experience:

1-2 years work experience in pesticide residue lab. Experience in operation of LC-MS/MS & GC-MS/MS for pesticide residue analysis from food material, plant, soil, water using modern sample preparation technique, experience in NABL accredited pesticide residue lab, knowledge of computer applications, statistics will also be preferred.

Monthly Fellowship : Consolidated Emolument of Rs. 40,000/- per month (for Ph.D. degree holder) or Rs. 38,000/- per month (for M.Sc. degree holder) (no HRA will be paid)

Job Roles :

The candidate will have to work individually at the NABL accredited laboratory facility of TLabs, Tocklai for pesticide residue analysis of samples, conduct multi-locational residue field trials,
supervise overall project-related activities, sample collection, data compilation, report preparation, etc.
