Applications are invited for recruitment of various administrative positions or career in TISS Assam.

Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS) Assam is inviting applications from eligible candidates for recruitment to the post or career altogether of Fieldwork Supervisor (part-time: three days a week — Monday, Tuesday and Friday) on a contract basis for a period of eleven months (may be extended)from June 1, 2024 to April 30, 2025 for the School of Social Work. The Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS) came into being in 1936 altogether as the Sir Dorabji Tata Graduate School of Social Work. It became famous as the Tata Institute of Social Sciences in 1944. An important landmark in the history of the Institute happen in 1964. The Institute became a Deemed to be a University under Section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act (UGC), 1956.

Qualification & Experience:

A master's degree in social work with minimum of five years and direct social work practice in the thematic area of gender/women-centered social work practice.

Candidates who are desirable are those with prior experience of supervision of fieldwork students

Salary : Rs. 20000/- per month

Job Roles :

The nature of assignments for the post will primarily include fieldwork supervision of social work students, visit to different fieldwork agencies and also all other fieldwork-related academic and administrative process undertaken within the M.A. social work degree programme of the School of Social Work.
