The only nerve centre of higher education in the greater Hajo area, Suren Das College, came into being altogether on 29th August, 1979. Beginning with only a few students, it was also formerly known as Hajo Anchalik College, and was housed in the premises of Hajo S.B.S.K.R. Higher Secondary School, Hajo. The college is altogether the outcome of the dream and untiring efforts of a group of benevolent persons and educationists of Hajo area. Not only that, the mass participation to the cause can also be seen in the immense contribution made by various organizations to the college.

Educational qualification and selection procedure will altogether be as per Govt. Office Memorandum No. AHE.239/2021/68, dated 24-01-2022
Age Limit : The age of the candidates is altogether as per the prevailing rule of Govt. of Assam
