Seven Sisters Development Assistance (SESTA) Guwahati Assam is inviting applications from eligible candidates for recruitment to the post or career of Executive (Researcher) and Executive Trainee (Researcher). Seven Sisters Development Assistance (SeSTA) is a professionally managed, non-governmental, not-for-profit organization initiated by a group of young professionals engaged in different parts of North-East India. The name SeSTA is pronounced ‘Chesta’ and means ‘Effort’ in Assamese. It was begun with the idea of enhancing the capabilities of vulnerable communities by creating a just and equitable society devoid of poverty and identity-related crises, and by promoting and strengthening institutions in the northeastern region of India. SeSTA’s mission is to catalyze inclusive and sustainable development in the North-East region of India by enhancing the capabilities of the rural communities.

Eligibility Criteria :

1. At least 2 years of proven experience in research-related work, with a focus on data analysis, report writing, and conducting field studies.

2.  Have strong understanding and practice of Research Methods and Methodologies.

3. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

4. Analytical mindset with the ability to process complex information.

5. Willingness to learn, adapt, and grow in a professional environment.

6. Extensive travel and a strong willingness to work in rural, interdisciplinary, and multicultural environments.

7. Interest in development work and a passion for community engagement.

Stipend: Rs. 40,000 to 45,000/per month (As per relevant years of experience)

1. Master’s Degree in Social Sciences, Development Studies, Economics or a related field.

2. Have strong understanding and practice of Research Methods and Methodologies.

3. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

4. Analytical mindset with the ability to process complex information.

5. Willingness to learn, adapt, and grow in a professional environment.

6. Open to travel and work in rural, interdisciplinary, and multicultural settings.

7. Interest in development work and a passion for community engagement.

Stipend : Rs. 27000/- per month
