Applications are invited for recruitment of various technical positions or career in NIT Silchar Assam.

National Institute of Technology (NIT) Silchar Assam is inviting applications from eligible candidates for recruitment to the post or career of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) for the TIH, IIT Guwahati sponsored project entitled "Design and development of an AUV for pisciculture and ROV for water quality assessment and bathymetric analysis" in the Department of Electrical Engineering. The Institute has the discretion to restrict the number of candidates to be called for the interview based on screening. No candidate may be recruited if suitable candidates are not found

Essential Qualification :

MTech in Civil/EE/ME/ECE/CSE/Instrumentation/ Mechatronics OR BTech with valid GATE

Desirable Experience :

Knowledge of design, and development of underwater vehicles and their control; bathymetry and also water qualities of rivers & their measurements; image processing.

Consolidated monthly Fellowship/Salary : Rs. 31,000/- per month admissible HRA (if accommodation is not provided)

Age Limit :

28 years for GEN. Relaxation For SC/ST/OBC/WOMEN/PwD candidates altogether as per Government of India Rules and Regulations

Selection Procedure :

The tentative date of interview is 21st June,2024. The exact interview date and mode (online/offline) will be communicated altogether through email in due course

Selected candidates shall have to also sign an agreement at the time of joining
